  Vitamin A and Hip Fractures

Vitamin A intake and hip fractures among postmenopausal women in the January 2, 2002 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association found that a long-term dietary intake of a diet high in retinol may promote osteoporotic hip fractures in women.1

  Rheumatoid Arthritis study by Dr. McDougall Released

Effects of a very low-fat, vegan diet in subjects with rheumatoid arthritis was just reported in the February 2002 issue of the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine.  Patients with moderate to severe arthritis were fed Dr. McDougall’s diet and they got much better, with a decrease in symptoms and weight loss in less than 4 weeks.
